OFSIH Website
SEO and Security Case Study
Overview
I rebuilt the Oral and Facial Surgery Institute of Houston website because the practice needed more than a nicer front page. The existing setup was expensive to host, difficult to trust in search, and affected by SEO/security problems that could keep real patients from finding the practice.
My goal was to give OFSIH a faster, safer, more searchable, and more cost-efficient digital foundation. I approached the work as a full website, SEO, security, and conversion rebuild rather than a surface-level redesign.
Cost reduction and platform control
One of the clearest operational wins was reducing hosting from $150 per month to $10 per month. That is a 93.3% reduction and saves roughly $1,680 per year.
I care about that kind of result because website work should improve the business underneath the design. Hosting, maintainability, ownership, and performance all affect how useful a site is after launch.
SEO, security, and visibility cleanup
I corrected search and security issues that were interfering with the way the practice appeared online, including clickjacking and SEO spam behavior where unrelated pages could show instead of the real practice website. I also added malicious bot deterrence to reduce bad traffic, analytics distortion, and wasted ad risk.
On the SEO side, I rebuilt the structure around metadata, headings, internal links, service pages, robots behavior, traditional search visibility, GPT-style search readiness, and agentic discovery. The work was about making the site easier for both patients and search systems to understand.
Search footprint and patient journeys
I created more than 250 location-specific SEO pages and organized the site around services patients actually search for: dental implants, wisdom teeth extraction, sedation, All-on-4, facial trauma, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, and oral pathology.
The patient journey mattered as much as the keyword footprint. I wanted someone with a real concern to be able to understand the procedure, trust the practice, find the right location or contact path, and move toward a consultation without friction.
